Binance Existing User Referral Code Rebind Guide 2026

Can an existing Binance user still bind a referral code? It depends on which kind of existing user you are. This 2026 guide explains the two official routes — the 90-day Recall Program and Affiliates Rebind — including eligibility, entry points, steps and failure reasons, why the '30-day top-up' claim has no official basis, and why accounts that already have a referrer cannot change it, with a self-check table and common traps.

⚠️ Read this first: new users should not tap "Sign Up" inside the app — only registering through the registration link (e.g. "Sign Up") or entering invite code BINANBT gets you the signup rewards (20% trading fee rebate + up to $19,800 welcome package). For existing users, the rules below explain who can still bind a code and who cannot.

Key takeaways (TL;DR):

  • Separate three things: top-up, rebind and recall. A top-up creates a referral relationship for someone who never had one; a rebind changes an existing referrer to a different one; a recall lets Binance re-establish a relationship for a long-dormant account.
  • If you already have a referrer, you cannot rebind. Binance states that a referral relationship cannot be changed or removed once established. Any paid "rebind service" is a scam.
  • Users who never had a referrer have two official routes. ①The 90-day Recall Program: account older than 90 days and no trading or product use in the past 90 days; ②Affiliates Rebind: under $5,000 of trading volume in the past 90 days, but you must reach $150,000 of qualifying volume within 30 days for it to take effect.
  • An existing-user binding is not just "enter a code". The Recall Program requires the newest invite link; you log in and the system shows a "Bind Now" window. Manual code entry is not supported.
  • The "you can add a code within 30 days" claim has no official basis. Binance's Referral Pro FAQ says a code must be used at account creation and cannot be added afterward. If your account shows a binding entry, follow the page — but never pay for a "binding service".
  • Both routes have hard thresholds. Recall requires no Binance activity at all in the past 90 days; Rebind requires $150,000 of volume in 30 days, which is unrealistic for most retail users. Check your eligibility first.

Table of contents

The bottom line: top-up, rebind and recall are different

The phrase "existing user rebind" mixes three different needs:

  1. Top-up: you registered without a code, have never had a referrer, and want to attach one.
  2. Rebind: you registered with A's code and now want to switch to B.
  3. Recall: your account has been dormant, and Binance's Recall Program reconnects it to an affiliate.

The outcomes are very different:

  • Top-up: only users who never had a referrer and meet specific conditions can do it.
  • Rebind: not possible. Binance states that a referral relationship cannot be changed or removed once established.
  • Recall: possible, but the account must be older than 90 days and must have had no trading or product use in the past 90 days.

So the first question is not "how do I bind?" but "which case am I?" Get that wrong and every later step is wasted.

In one sentence: a top-up goes from none to one, a rebind goes from A to B, and a recall reactivates a dormant account. The first two can sometimes be done; a rebind has no official route.

Three routes in one table

Dimension 90-day Recall Program Affiliates Rebind Code at registration
Who it is for Existing users older than 90 days, no activity in the past 90 days, never had a referrer Users who never had a referrer and have under $5,000 of 90-day volume New users
Who can initiate A Binance Affiliate A Binance Affiliate The user
Key threshold Account age >90 days; no trading/product use in the past 90 days 90-day volume <$5,000; $150,000 qualifying volume within 30 days Enter at registration
How to bind Newest invite link; log in and tap "Bind Now" Rebind link or manual code; submit an application Enter the code on the signup page
Effective immediately? Yes, after confirmation On the day the $150,000 threshold is reached At registration
Manual code entry Not supported Supported Supported
Already has a referrer Cannot Cannot Not applicable

The most overlooked column is the last one: entering the code at registration is the simplest and most certain method. Every "top-up" route is an exception with high thresholds and many limits. Do not wait until after registration to figure it out.

Route 1: the 90-day Recall Program

Who qualifies

Binance's Affiliates Recall Program requires the invitee to meet four conditions at the same time1:

  1. Already has a Binance account;
  2. Has never been bound to any inviter;
  3. Account age is more than 90 days;
  4. Has not traded or used any Binance product in the past 90 days.

Starting March 24, 2026, Binance reduced the account-age and inactivity threshold from 180 days to 90 days. In other words, an old account that has been idle for three months may regain eligibility.

How to bind

The Recall Program does not support entering a referral code manually. The correct flow is:

  1. The affiliate generates the newest invite link or QR code from the Referral Pro page;
  2. You send the link to an eligible user;
  3. The user opens the link and taps "Log in", not "Sign up";
  4. The system checks eligibility and shows a confirmation window;
  5. The user taps "Bind Now" and the relationship takes effect.

The new link format is https://www.binance.com/join?ref=XXXXXXXX. Old links and QR codes only work for new users and cannot be used for recall.

Limits

  • Only Binance Affiliates can initiate it; users cannot bind themselves;
  • The feature is in testing and only available in some regions and accounts;
  • Commission data usually updates the next day, not in real time;
  • New-user registration is unavailable in MiCA countries;
  • Futures commissions require both parties to be outside restricted countries.

Note: the Recall Program is a top-up, not a rebind. An account that already has a referrer cannot switch to another one, even after 90 days of dormancy.

Route 2: Affiliates Rebind

Who qualifies

Binance's Affiliates Rebind FAQ, published/updated on September 28, 2026, describes a second route2. The user must meet all of the following:

  • Completed KYC;
  • No existing referrer;
  • Uses a master account, not a sub-account;
  • Total trading volume below $5,000 (or equivalent) in the past 90 days;
  • No abnormal-trading or policy-violation flags;
  • Resides outside restricted regions.

Both the affiliate and the user must complete KYC; a pending account review blocks participation.

How to bind

  1. The affiliate opens Affiliate Dashboard → Referrals → Rebind Application and generates a rebind link;
  2. The link is shared with the user;
  3. The user opens it, reviews the details and submits an application;
  4. The relationship is established only after the user reaches $150,000 of qualifying volume within 30 days;
  5. The 30-day window starts on the application date; binding happens the day the threshold is reached, not after 30 days.

Qualifying volume includes Spot, Futures, Convert, Margin and Copy Trading. It excludes all sub-account volume and all zero-fee trading pairs; the bStocks 3× multiplier does not count.

Key limits

  • Only an affiliate can initiate; users cannot apply by themselves;
  • Users with no trading history may qualify for "instant self-rebind"; users with history go through eligibility checks;
  • The user cannot cancel the application; cancellation requires Binance Customer Support;
  • Reapplication is allowed but reviewed again and not guaranteed;
  • An application in progress, or recent activity that fails eligibility, can block you;
  • After cancellation, immediate reapplication is unavailable if 90-day volume exceeds $5,000.

Who this is actually for

Frankly, $150,000 of volume in 30 days is unrealistic for most retail users. This route is aimed at high-frequency traders, market makers or larger-volume users. If you see a "Rebind" entry, calculate whether you can reach the threshold before applying.

Why the "30-day top-up" claim is unreliable

Many online guides say: "Within 30 days of registration, if you have not deposited or traded, you can add a referral code on the referral page."

There is no official basis for this in Binance's public documentation. Binance's Referral Pro FAQ states clearly that a referral code must be used when the account is created; after registration, the user cannot use a code to establish a relationship; and once established, the relationship cannot be changed or removed3.

So why do some people see a binding entry? Three possibilities:

  1. The account page is part of a gradual rollout, and eligibility is decided by the system, not available to every account;
  2. The person is confusing the Recall Program or Rebind with a "30-day top-up";
  3. A third-party promotion page is describing the rules more loosely to attract clicks.

The correct approach: follow what your own account page shows, but never pay for a "binding service". If there is no entry, you are not eligible; support can confirm the rules but cannot create eligibility out of thin air.

Rebinding: why an existing referrer cannot be changed

Binance's rule is explicit: once a referral relationship is established, it cannot be changed or removed. This includes:

  • Registering with A's code and wanting to switch to B;
  • Binding A through the Recall Program and wanting to switch to B;
  • Binding A through Rebind and wanting to switch to B;
  • Sub-accounts trying to rebind separately.

The reason is straightforward: commissions are settled based on the referral relationship. If rebinding were allowed freely, commission attribution would become untraceable and could be used to farm new-user rewards.

So when you see "paid rebind", "internal channel to change your referrer" or "give us your account password and we'll do it", treat it as a scam. These offers usually have one of three goals:

  1. Steal your password and 2FA code and take over the account;
  2. Charge a "service fee" and disappear;
  3. Ask you to transfer coins to "verify the account" and then take them.

Self-check: which case are you?

Your situation Can you top up? Which route
Just registered, no code entered Official docs do not support manual top-up; follow your account page Do not pay anyone; if an entry exists, use it; if not, accept it
Older than 90 days, never had a referrer, no Binance use in the past 90 days Yes 90-day Recall Program; newest link, "Log in", then "Bind Now"
Never had a referrer, under $5,000 of 90-day volume Maybe Affiliates Rebind; requires $150,000 of volume within 30 days
Already bound to someone else's code No No official rebind route
Using a sub-account No Use the master account
Region does not support the referral program No No official route

The key rows are the second and fourth: never bound plus long inactivity gives you a recall chance; already bound means you cannot switch.

Steps: how the Recall Program works

Step 1: confirm eligibility

Check three things: whether the account is older than 90 days; whether there has really been no trading and no use of Earn, Futures or other products in the past 90 days; and whether you have ever bound a referrer. If any condition fails, recall will not work.

Recall requires the newest link generated by an affiliate from the Referral Pro page — not an old registration link or QR code. The format is usually https://www.binance.com/join?ref=XXXXXXXX.

Open the link and tap "Log in", not "Sign up". The system checks your account status against the recall criteria.

Step 4: confirm and bind

If eligible, the page shows a confirmation window with the inviter's details. Check them and tap "Bind Now". After binding, commissions follow the standard new-user rates.

Step 5: verify the commission

After binding, you can check recall data in the Referral Pro Dashboard under "Referral". Commission data usually updates the next day, not in real time.

Steps: how Rebind works

Step 1: confirm eligibility

Confirm that you have completed KYC, have no existing referrer, use a master account, have under $5,000 of 90-day volume, have no abnormal-trading flags, and are not in a restricted region.

Rebind can only be initiated by an affiliate in Affiliate Dashboard → Referrals → Rebind Application. Users cannot generate it themselves.

Open the rebind link, check the inviter details, and submit the application. You can use a pre-filled link or manually enter a valid referral code; clicking the link does not bind automatically — confirmation is required.

Step 4: reach $150,000 of qualifying volume within 30 days

The 30-day window starts on the application date. Qualifying volume includes Spot, Futures, Convert, Margin and Copy Trading; sub-accounts and zero-fee pairs are excluded. Binding takes effect the day the threshold is reached.

Step 5: confirm the result

Once the threshold is reached, the relationship is established automatically. If you do not reach it within 30 days, the application does not take effect; you can reapply, but it will be reviewed again.

Why it fails and how to troubleshoot

Symptom Likely cause What to do
The link shows no "Bind Now" button Recall eligibility fails: account under 90 days, Binance used in the past 90 days, or already bound Check the four conditions; if already bound, there is no official route
"Manual code entry is not supported" Recall only works through the newest link Ask the affiliate to generate a fresh link
Rebind application rejected 90-day volume over $5,000, abnormal flags, sub-account, restricted region Check the conditions; use the master account or wait for volume to fall
30 days passed without binding Did not reach $150,000 of qualifying volume Reapply and restart the calculation
No commission after binding Commission data updates the next day Check again the next day; if still missing, contact support
Someone offers a paid rebind Accounts with a referrer cannot rebind Refuse and protect your account details

Four risks: fake binding, paid agents and account security

Risk 1: paid "binding services"

Binance does not charge for binding. Anyone who asks for money upfront is exploiting an information gap; worse, they may take the money and disappear, or use your account to steal funds.

Risk 2: requests for passwords and codes

Binding does not require your login password, 2FA code or SMS code. Anyone who asks for them is trying to take over the account. The only thing you should do is log in on the official page yourself and tap "Bind Now".

Phishing sites imitate binance.com/join?ref=... to steal your login. Get links only from the official app, the official website or an affiliate you trust; check the domain after opening, and never click links from strangers in DMs.

Risk 4: calling a rebind a "recall"

Some intermediaries label a rebind as a recall, take the money, then say "the system does not support it". Remember: recall only applies to accounts that never had a referrer; accounts that already have one have no official rebind route.

Five common myths

Myth 1: every existing user can top up

No. Recall requires "never bound + account older than 90 days + no Binance use in the past 90 days"; Rebind requires "under $5,000 of 90-day volume + $150,000 in 30 days". Most active existing users satisfy neither.

Myth 2: topping up just means entering a code

The Recall Program does not support manual code entry; it requires the newest invite link, a login, and the system's "Bind Now" window. Rebind supports manual entry, but only after an affiliate initiates the application.

Myth 3: you can change a referrer you already have

No. Once established, the relationship cannot be changed or removed. Any paid rebind is a scam.

Myth 4: you can always top up within 30 days of registering

There is no official basis for this. Follow your account page; if there is no entry, you are not eligible, and you should not pay an agent.

Myth 5: commissions start immediately after binding

Commissions start when the relationship takes effect, and data usually updates the next day. Some Recall Program regions are still in testing; timing depends on the page.

💰 Binance rebate: invite code BINANBT

New users who enter invite code BINANBT at registration get a 20% trading fee rebate immediately — no top-up process needed. This article contains affiliate links; we may earn a reward if you register through them, but it does not cost you anything extra.

  • Rebate: 20% trading fee rebate, ongoing. The more you trade, the more you save.
  • Welcome package: up to $19,800, unlocked through tasks — not cash paid on registration.
  • How to claim: enter BINANBT in the invite-code field when registering. This is the most certain method; do not wait until after registration to look for a workaround.
  • Important: signing up directly inside the app gets you no signup reward at all. An in-app registration binds to no referral, so the $19,800 welcome package and the 20% fee rebate simply don't apply — you have to use the registration link or enter invite code BINANBT.

FAQ

Can an existing Binance user still bind a referral code?

It depends. If you never had a referrer, your account is older than 90 days and you have not used Binance in the past 90 days, you may use the 90-day Recall Program. If you never had a referrer and your 90-day volume is under $5,000, you may use Affiliates Rebind, but you must reach $150,000 of volume within 30 days. If you already have a referrer, you can neither top up nor rebind.

What is the difference between a top-up and a rebind?

A top-up creates a referral relationship for an account that never had one; a rebind changes an existing relationship from A to B. Binance supports top-ups under specific conditions but does not support rebinding.

I already bound someone else's code. Can I change it to BINANBT?

No. Binance states that a referral relationship cannot be changed or removed once established. Any paid rebind is a scam; do not provide your password or verification codes.

What are the conditions for the 90-day Recall Program?

All four: already registered, never bound to any inviter, account older than 90 days, and no trading or product use in the past 90 days. Since March 24, 2026, the threshold was reduced from 180 days to 90 days.

Does the Recall Program require entering a referral code?

No, and it does not support it. Recall must use the newest invite link generated by an affiliate; you open it, tap "Log in", and the system shows a "Bind Now" window after checking eligibility.

How is the $150,000 Rebind volume calculated?

Within 30 days from the application date, the combined qualifying volume from Spot, Futures, Convert, Margin and Copy Trading must reach $150,000. Sub-account volume and zero-fee pairs are excluded, and the bStocks 3× multiplier does not count.

When do commissions start after binding?

When the referral relationship takes effect. Recall takes effect after confirmation; Rebind takes effect on the day the $150,000 threshold is reached. Commission data usually updates the next day.

Is it true that I can add a code within 30 days of registering?

There is no such rule in Binance's public documentation. The Referral Pro FAQ says a code must be used at registration and cannot be added afterward. If your account shows a binding entry, follow the page, but do not pay for a "binding service".

Someone charges a fee to help me bind. Is that trustworthy?

No. Binance does not charge for binding, and binding does not require your login password or 2FA code. Paid agents usually want to steal money or take over your account.
