Liquidation Price Calculator
Estimate the liquidation price of your futures position in isolated or cross margin, long or short.
Result
Real liquidation depends on the exchange’s mark price and formulas vary slightly by platform (some add a liquidation fee); results are for reference only.
Liquidation Price Calculator
The liquidation price is where your loss gets so large the margin can no longer maintain the position and the exchange force-closes it. This calculator supports isolated/cross × long/short, estimating liquidation from entry price, leverage and size.
How it’s calculated
Isolated long: liq = entry × (1 − 1/leverage) ÷ (1 − MMR); isolated short: entry × (1 + 1/leverage) ÷ (1 + MMR). Cross uses the account balance as buffer instead of position margin: long = (entry − balance/size) ÷ (1 − MMR), short symmetric.
Leverage and liquidation risk
Higher leverage brings liquidation closer to entry — a 20× BTC long can liquidate on a ~5% drop. Isolated only loses that position’s margin, while cross can drag down the whole account; beginners should use isolated + low leverage. MMR rises with position tier.
Results are for reference only and not investment advice. Crypto trading involves risk; actual liquidation prices depend on the exchange's mark price — verify with the exchange's official calculator.
