Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where should a beginner start on Binance?

Follow the order “register → deposit → spot trading → withdraw to wallet”: ① Complete registration & KYC; ② Fund via the deposit guide (C2C is most convenient); ③ Practice buying/selling with small amounts on the spot market; ④ Learn to withdraw to a wallet and understand “not your keys, not your coins.” After getting familiar, explore futures, Earn, and other advanced features.

What’s the difference between Binance spot and futures trading?

Spot trading buys and sells real crypto directly — the coins are yours, and risk is relatively manageable. Futures trading is margin trading that uses leverage to amplify both gains and losses (possible liquidation), priced in “contracts” rather than real coins. Beginners should start with spot first, understand the market, then consider futures — and never risk more than you can afford to lose. See the futures trading guide.

How do I get a fee rebate with a referral code?

Enter a referral code at registration (e.g. GMVOGIBL) to get a 20% permanent fee rebate. If you haven’t traded within 30 days of registration, you can also bind it afterward. The rebate returns to your account as cashback, compounding with trading volume. See the referral guide.

Is paying fees with BNB worth it?

Definitely. Paying fees with BNB gives you a 25% discount (on both spot and futures). You just hold a certain amount of BNB and enable “use BNB for fees” in settings. Combined with a referral rebate, it significantly lowers long-term trading costs. See the BNB fee guide.

Is Binance Earn safe? What products does it offer?

Binance Earn is mainly split into flexible savings (deposit/withdraw anytime, flexible interest) and fixed staking (locked for a period for higher annualized returns), typically yielding 2-10% annually. These are essentially lending or staking products with market and platform risk. Use only idle funds, diversify, and read the Earn guide for terms first.

Is Binance suitable for long-term holding?

It can be, but the safer approach is to move medium/long-term holdings into a self-custody wallet (ideally hardware) for cold storage, keeping only trading funds on the exchange. That way, even if the platform has issues, your core assets remain safe. Remember: coins on an exchange are your “claims”; coins in your wallet are your “ownership.”
